This Gorham sterling silver card slash pin / ring vanity tray boasts an exquisite Art Nouveau Style. It has an intricate Repoussé pattern that adds to its charm. Crafted from genuine Sterling Silver, this vintage piece is a valuable addition to any collection. Its age dates back to the early 1900s. Originally this was used when you visited someone you gave them your card. The butler put it on the tray and took it to the owner of the house to announce you. It has a monogram but I don't know what the three letters are. On the back of the tray you will see the Sterling Mark some letters and then some identification marks. The strong scratches on the backward to cover up a license ID that was there. I did not polish this piece because some people don't like it highly polished.
