This journey took him to the heart of the lowrider scene in the 1960s, where he worked as a resident artist for Lowrider Magazine in the late 1970s, eventually starting his own publication, Teen Angel’s Magazine, where he captured barrio life.
Ranflas y Rucas, Chicano slang for "rides and fine females," is a compilation of Teen Angel's drawings and paintings. The book showcases his work from the 50s and 60s up until his passing in 2015, featuring everything from rough sketches and line drawings to fully detailed paintings.
