Rare Antique Genuine Alligator 1930 40’s Brown Bakelite Pochette Purse with Tag Saying Guaranteed Alligator
Wonderful 1930's to 1940's antique Hornback alligator handbag with substantial BAKELITE top frame. This bag is to die for with it's 1" thick Art Deco style Bakelite frame and closer top clasp, braided leather rope handle and gorgeous, supple skins.
Interior is a spotless chocolate brown genuine suede with 1 open side pocket and a clasped change purse. Interior tag reads "Guaranteed Real Alligator." The Bakelite makes this beautiful bag superb. Rare bag and not many that i seen with Bakelite to make this an attractive bag. It is genuine Alligator handbag the tag is inside and you can see it in the pictures.
Condition is Excellent. I see no damage. It is a Treasure and rare find to have Bakelite on the top frame
